How To Make A Big Bun With Box Braids

How I Style BOX BRAIDS 8 Quick Hairstyles

Hey darlings, so today we are going to shoota tutorial which is simply going to be the part 2 of quot; How I Style My Box Braidsquot; tutorial. I'vebeen wanting to make this tutorial for so so so long and I've slacked however, that tutorialis a year old now and on top of that, it's about to reach 600 000 views. I'm so happyand so proud of it that I just wanted to make sure that I give you guys more styles andthese are still going to be super quick and basic but they're also going to be a littleedgier. So I'm going to show you guys a couple of hairstyles that I love doing for myself, and the reason why these are going to be particularly edgy is because, for those of you who don'tknow, I do have a shaved side and that does

make the looks a little different. That doesn'tstop you from doing the hairstyles that I'm doing. They look just as good on a full headof hair as they do on a shaved side. So yeah, let's get started ! Alright guys, so hairstylenumber 1, first you have to separate your hair in the middle, and grab a section atthe front and it can be as big as you want it but I try to make it not that big. Thenyou start twisting it around itself creating a mini bun. I don't actually use pins, youguys can use pins, I just tend to tuck my hair in. So yeah, do that on the other sideas well. Now because I have a shaved side, I have to find a way to try to make it even.It might take you guys some time to get used

to it but do it and you will see, it's prettyeasy. So it's as simple as that, my double bun hairstyle. Now you can take this hairstylea little further and create number 2. This hairstyle isn't for everyone, you have tobe a little crazy and not really care that people will look at you funny so just go aheadand make a third bun at the back, and that's it ! I feel like an old school Janet Jackson.I don't know, and I look like Mickey Mouse from the back, so that was hairstyle number2. Now we're going to move on to number 3. And this is basically going to be a half uphalf down but more like the poetic justice look that everybody was rocking when the braidscame back in fashion. All you do is wrap a

bit of hair around the section that you'vemade at the very top and you've got it ! It's that simple ! Now, number 4, all you gottado is create a bun, and again you need to master the art of twisting your braids, itjust makes everything so easy. So you just wrap a bun by twisting your braids aroundand I just tuck it in, I don't use a pin. So now we're going to move on to hairstylenumber 5, I put my hair to the side and start twisting it. What you can do if you don'thave a shaved side is put the rest of your hair to the side the way that mine technicallywould be if it wasn't shaved. What I do is I twist my hair, yet again, and then I liketo create a snail effect looking thing on

top of my head. So this is the first timeI use a pin, I just did it to secure it there. So I have this little asymmetric hairstylethat I really like. I don't know, I love and it's super easy to do and it adds a littlebit of funk. Now number six, go ahead and create a bun by basically wrapping a sectionof your hair that you chose around you hair. It's not a bun actually, my bad, but it'smore like that old school high ponytail. Yeah, I love it, I think it's fab, it's always goingto be trendy. It's old school Chanel. Okay, now hairstyle number 7. basically movingon from what you just did, you're going to create what I like to call the double bun.So you twist one section of the leftover hair

and you pin it, then you twist the secondsection of the hair and you pin it around it, and you've got it ! Your double bun ! Ijust think it looks cooler than a classic bun. Now hairstyle number 8. Okay it's kindof trickier to explain but basically if you don't have a shaved side you would just bedoing what I'm doing all over your head. Just creating. twisting it, so it creates a textureat the top. I like to call it the textured ponytail, if that makes any sense. So you'regonna keep doing that, twisting all your hair together and gathering it all together andcreate a ponytail by wrapping a bit of hair around the hair you want to tie up. And thereyou have it! You can always pin it, again

How To Reduce The Weight Of Your Heavy Patra BraidsBox BraidsSenegalese TwistsMicro Braids Etc

Hello everyone this is Breanna Rutter authorof the book the natural hair Bible and founder of howtoblackhair and for these specialvlogs I love to answer all of the questions that you often me via email so you have anyquestions that you will like for me to answer be sure to check out the description box belowthis tutorial for additional information so right on to the blog I will be answering a questionthat was sent by person a job at the a then say whether or not there are male or femalethe name is JapaDean and they had a question in regards to their box braids for this personjust got their box braids installed said that the box braids are extremely too heavy tohot and his is uncomfortable when he hairstyle

so they wanted to know what to do for heavybox braids and is exactly what this blog is going to be about so JapaDean the only onlyway you can reduce the way of your box braids is to take them down I know you probably paida lot of money to get them done I know the style is telling you I know what I'm doingyour fine but the braids are uncomfortable and because their heavy the only way you canreduce the weight is by taking them down but another option you can do is going to takea lot of time is to unravel them one by one take some of the extension hair off of thebraid and then braid them back up to reduce the weight that take literally doing yourwhole entire style over again so my number

one answer as far as it goes with reducingthe way of your braids is that you have to take them down there too heavy and uncomfortablealso a second answer that I would like to give you about the weight of your braids isthat you can wear them up into a bun so if you refuse to take your braids down you can'tafford to take them down just to get another hairstyle is what you can do is always wearyour hair in a top bun you want to use a lot of our booby pins to secure them into placeand the reason why they should put your hair in a bun is because when you put your hairinto a bun you are going to have to do a balancing act with your head because your braids areheavy I wouldn't suggest that you wear them

down like I have my Havana twists becauseindividually each braid is going to pull at the roots of your hair and that leads to tractionalopecia and is the main reason why I need you to take your braids if they are too heavyfor your hair and a hard because eventually your hair is going to start to break off edgesrun the nape of your neck in any other places where your hair is too tight you don't wanttraction alopecia that's the last thing you should be experiencing especially now thatyou have your braids and all so those are my tips to help you to reduce the way I'msorry there's nothing special or magical you can do because once you've added all thatheavy extensions hair to each individual braids

there's nothing you can do other than secureit really tighten up on the top of your head so that it's not heavy because of each individualbraids but you need to take your hair down so that said I hope that answered your questionand if any of you watch and have any additional questions that you would like for me to answercheck out the description box below for more information but until then see you in my nexttutorial.
